Refund and Returns Policy

Refund Policy:

Please inspect your packages immediately upon arrival, checking all tubers/cuttings and having any concerns emailed within 48hrs. If there is a clear problem, a replacement will be offered or in cases where no suitable replacement in available, a credit for future purchase will be given.

Refunds are only issued in cases when item/s can’t be fulfilled due to storage failure or non-viability issues. A credit or replacement of the same price will also be made available to you.

After the 48hrs inspection time those babies are your responsibility. Since everyone gives their new additions different attention, I cannot be be held responsible for rotting due to weather, pest conditions, poor care, etc. and am not liable for any damage, or loss resulting from crop failure or weather. I am also not responsible for tubers improperly stored resulting in any damage happening to them if you choose not to plant them right away.

I do not offer refunds or replacements on plants showing viral symptoms.

Tubers:

Only tubers with visible eyes will be shipped. Knowing your precious cargo is awake and ready to thrive is paramount, always.

Cuttings:

Growing from cuttings is a very different experience in comparison to growing from tubers and if you aren’t 100% confident in the care they need, perhaps sticking with tubers will be best until you’ve had the chance perhaps to practice making cuttings yourself. It is a very fun and a great way to learn while saving your wallet some heartache in the beginning. Propagating from cuttings can very quickly become an addicting activity!

Cuttings will arrive in small 2 inch pots with soil. I do not ship bare root cuttings as they can be far too finicky (in my opinion), exhibiting more instances of shock after shipment or even losses than when roots have already been acclimated to soil.

To maximize my cutting stock for you at a healthy turnaround rate, I largely use the leaf cutting method as opposed to only taking from lateral growing tips. While I do both and they each produce the same healthy plants, the only difference is leaf cuttings can prove to be smaller at times. Depending on factors such as their age and how much fertilizer they have received, they can be anywhere from 2 inches up to 7 when they get to you.

I will not send anything to you that I would not have success with myself.

Mislabels:

If upon blooming the cultivar is not what you bought, my stock will be checked to confirm the mislabel.

Any tuber or cutting sold will be from the very stock I plant. If the mislabel exists in my garden also, you will be given credit for what you paid along with my sincerest apologies! If I do not see the mislabel on my end, no credit will be issued as I can’t control the possibility of mistagging in your garden.

I do my very best and am quite meticulous with organizing my collection, but accidents do, can and will happen.

New stock:

In some cases, newly  acquired stock is made available that has yet to be grown for one year under my care.

Hard to come by varieties sell out very quickly during the spring sales at many popular farms and if I can produce cuttings or have extra tubers to share I gladly will, but will always be transparent when things are new to me by adding the year it ‘will be grown’ or ‘has been grown’ next to it’s price.

You can decide for yourself if you are willing to take the risk as I did when it was purchased that current season.

Please do not ask to buy this type of new stock if you do not feel comfortable with the very real possibility of a mislabel or potential illness lurking.

Combined Order Fee:

There will be a $5 fee for all combined order requests after your initial order that included flat rate shipping.

If you are part of the Dahlia Hunter Member Program, this fee is waived on all additional orders you wish to ship together.

Restocking Fee

Any orders canceled due to shipping non-payment will be subject to a 20% restocking fee. My time went into packing the orders and the items could have been purchased by someone else.

Please be mindful of the potential for higher rates when you have large cutting orders.

Removal of any items from any of your orders at your request will incur a 20% restocking fee per item.

Limit of 1:

Some of the more sought after cultivars will have a limit of 1 per household to allow for more people being able to access those special dahlias.

In most cases, I’ve only grown 1 or 2 plants per variety, leaving only a handful of tubers available to be sold. 

Payment:

Full payment via e-transfer is required to secure your order within 24 hrs as the shopping cart will automatically abandon all pending orders that are not paid in that time.

Sorry, credit card or Paypal payments are not offered.

Refusal of Service:

I reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason, at any time.

* If I hear from my peers you have been problematic with them, chances are I will not sell to you.

* If you have a history of bashing sellers in online groups, chances are I will not sell to you.

Please always come to me with any issues first and foremost, rather than posting on social media as that will greatly affect our relationship going forward and your ability to purchase from me in the future.
